Community Dental Service: Dental Health Outreach at SD No. 1 Kuta
As part of the 17th International Conference of Asian Academy of Preventive Dentistry (ICAAPD 2025), we are proud to announce a community dental service outreach program at SD No. 1 Kuta. This event aims to raise awareness and improve the oral health of elementary school students through educational and preventive dental activities.
Event Details:
- Date: Tuesday, 2 September 2025
- Time: 07:30 AM - 12:00 PM
- Location: SD No. 1 Kuta, Jl. Raya Kuta No.34X, Kuta, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali
- Participants: Students, teachers, and staff of SD No. 1 Kuta
Event Highlights:
This program is designed to provide comprehensive dental education to children and promote the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene from an early age. The activities will be led by professional dental health practitioners and include:
- Dental Health Education (DHE): Interactive sessions on the importance of dental care, proper tooth-brushing techniques, and healthy eating habits to prevent tooth decay.
- Guided Group Brushing: A hands-on session where children will brush their teeth together under the direct guidance of our dental team to ensure correct technique.
- Topical Application of Fluoride (TAF): Application of topical fluoride to strengthen tooth enamel and prevent cavities.
- Dental Check-ups & Counseling: General dental examinations for all students, followed by personalized counseling for those who require further dental attention.
Why This Initiative Matters:
Given the high prevalence of dental caries among children in Indonesia, early education on proper oral hygiene is crucial. This outreach program aligns with the global mission of ICAAPD 2025 to promote dental health, especially for children in areas with limited access to adequate dental services.
Call for Participation:
We invite all ICAAPD 2025 participants to join us in this meaningful community service activity. We have a capacity for 40 volunteer dentists. Come and make a tangible contribution to the future of Bali's children by sharing your expertise and passion!
